To T-Town, With Love

I can’t wait to see you again. It’s been two years, and might be two more.

I miss the smell of the alcohol flooding the streets at night.

I miss the “This Land Is Your Land” Woody Guthrie mural that stands tall on the corner of Brady Street.

I miss the noonday trips to the aquarium in the ‘burbs of Jenks.

I miss the filled ONEOK Field for a Tulsa Roughnecks game.

I miss the “2008 Tulsa Fix the Road” sign which had only half of its funding that stood on the side of quite possibly the second-most screwed up road in the country.

I miss films at 10 pm at the Admiral drive-in theater.

I miss late night runs to Jack in the Box for 12 pack taco boxes.

Wannabe capital of Oklahoma, I miss you. You're the only place that can say you're better than Oklahoma City. But if only you just knew my plans.
