She is the biggest athlete to cross her family tree by running varsity track, playing soccer, and recently gathering a tennis addiction. She's a huge music nerd, heavily involved in her school's advanced choir. In the future, she plans to either pursue a career in history education or add to the diversity in the US Congress. As a closing, there is no bigger fan of the Portland soccer teams, The Chicks, or Selena than her. As you read this, she's probably dancing Champeta.

Nell specializes in writing theater, book, and movie and television reviews as well as the occasional political opinion piece. She enjoys playing piano, reading, painting, writing, wasting time on tikok, and hating physics. She says the Seattle, Washington weather isn't near as bad as the nonlocals say it is. She plans to attend college and study journalism. In 10 years, she sees herself in NYC or San Francisco.

Xavier has been writing poetry for two years and successfully self-published his own poetry book in February! He is currently currently a freshman in college, attempting to graduate with a AA and transfer with a major in sociology. He loves music, dance, video games, sci-fi media, and superheroes. Karissa specializes in poetry and writing. She is a curator for @savantpoetry on Instagram and soon-to-be writer for Humankind Zine's blog! Her poetry has been included in Eve Poetry Magazine, “Silver Linings Anthology”, “Topaz”: Poetry Mafia’s Winter 2019 Anthology, and “Train River Poetry: Spring 2020” Anthology. Although it has been a while, she also enjoys acting and creating videos, such as spoken words and short films/ acting performances.

Maggie has a huge love for the arts and literature! She is currently a freshman in high school, and hopes to be a journalist when she's older. Some of her role models include AOC and Frida Kahlo. She sings and plays the ukulele and flute. She has been doing musical theater since the seventh grade, and some of her best roles have been the Narrator in Into the Woods and Maggie Jones in 42nd Street. At school, she is running for student council and is in a club called Passion Project, where they work to solve global issues like climate change.

Lila enjoys taking photos of basically anything. Her style is more of vintage-sequence photos, but she is expanding to more of just about anything. She really loves using photography to capture moments just as they happen, not exactly all poised, posed, and serious. Everything always turns out better when you have fun while doing it. She has been writing poetry since fifth grade and has been published numerous times in her school's literary magazines, and has won an honorable mention for her poetry from the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition. Izzy has been interested in fashion since she was very young as her first style idol was her mom. In the 90's, her mom always impulsively splurged on these brilliant designer jackets as, in her words, "jackets are a statement piece and everyone should have one classic, unaging jacket". Along with a classic bag and shoes of course- the whole classic collection- to tie it all up. An unbeatable perk about that is Izzy can wear them now that she is older but even so, she says fashion goes beyond looking presentable.

Sophie loves movies, photography and books! In particular, she enjoys taking photographs of nature and reading a mixture of non-fiction sociology books like ‘Outliers’ by Malcolm Gladwell (ahem, one of da founder's faves) as well as classics, for example ‘The Bell Jar’ by Sylvia Plath. When not in lockdown, she attends her local Explorer Scouts and watch indie films at the cinema. Additionally, in her sixth form, she is lead photographer of a photography team and also a senior student- similar to a head girl.

Paige is an intense reader and writer. She's very into both education and politics, planning to double major in both spanish and political science upon her trek to university in the future. Paige founded her school’s quizbowl team and is also currently it's class president. In addition to those, she is social leader of Students Demand Action and a member of National Art Honor Society. She loves listening to music and making playlists. She is very interested in political affairs and current issues. She also likes making collages.
