This year has been huge politically and I have found ways to educate myself with different forms of media. Over the span of this article I will link the different podcasts and YouTube channels that I use as learning tools.

  • Podcasts:

    • The Daily is a podcast hosted by Michael Barbaro of New York Times, new episodes are put out 5 days a week and each episode is only around 20 minutes. Each episode is easy to consume and a great way to start your morning with some education.

    • The NPR Politics Podcast is hosted by NPR’s best political journalists and consultants every weekday. Big news is coming out nearly everyday and this podcast is a great way to learn about the big news coming out of the campaign trail.

    • Political Scandals is hosted by Kate Leonard and Richard Rossner. Political scandals dives into the most outrageous events in American political history. New episodes are out every Tuesday.

  • YouTube

    • Let's Talk Elections is hosted by Ethan Kelly. His videos show electoral college predictions, polling data, and more with tons of evidence to back everything up! Videos are out nearly every day.

    • Mr. Beat is a social studies teacher from Kansas who teaches viewers about history and geography. My personal favorite series from him are Presidential Elections in US History and Supreme Court Briefs. His videos contain educated opinions without bias.

Watching videos and listening to podcasts are small ways that you can make a difference, remember that education is power!
